Fun With Steam

Well, Steam or possibly windows, i'm not too keen on either

anyway, i reeboot my machine when i get up this morning and to my horror i find that the steam icon doesn't show up in my taskbar, even though "Steam.exe" is running in the task manager - so that means i can't open any other window other than the play games (my default) - no updates/options/friends<- still who could ever log in anyway?

any help anyone?

Go to the task manager and end the Steam.exe process. Then open steam again, that should do it.

thanksfor that, i'll keep it in mind since steam has mystically returned now i moved my Audigy2 to it's original PCI slot - uber weird.

the annoying thing now is that my msn messenger icon is gone, again with the process msnmsgr.exe. running - i'll try your trick on that
