Fundraisers

So I'm involved in a few clubs at school and for the collection of monies we must engage fellow students in pleasant activities involving food and fun (no alcohol :c).

Have you guys been involved in any events, e.g. some sort of fall festival or something of that kind? Have you observed any other groups who've been somewhat successful? Any interesting stories?

I'm looking for ideas as to what we can do in our booth.

I was at a fundraser thing where members of the society promised to do really stupid tings for money. The secretary had some horrible goob poured over his head. I can't remember what it was made of but it was unpleasant looking.

Also: Wet t-shirt contest.

That gives me a good idea.

We'd obtain an annoying guy and set up a game based on throwing darts at a balloon.

If the balloon is hit (which will be considerably hard) the guy falls down into a pit of water.

I have done fundraising but I've never really been involved in any groups. The only time I was working with other people to raise money was when i organised and ran a bring-and-buy sale at primary school. I am working as a youth volunteer for Stonewall now, but for that we're raising awareness rather than money.
