Can you guys recommend me some funny movies that i can rent on dvd like 40 yr virgin, shawn of the dead, half baked, etc? old movies are fine.
 
I downloaded that on a whim once. What a horrible movie.
 
Kung Pow: Enter The Fist was pretty funny IMO. But I was also baked off my ass.
 
Forest Gump was hilarious.

Especially the parts with the drugs I was like WOOOOOOOO and took like 10 hits from my bong. Yeahhh man.

I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is a must see.

Deuce Bigalow is one of my fave silly movies (the sequel is shite) and The Big Lebowski is obviously amazing. Withnail and I is my fave British comedy and things like Airplane and Top Secret are timeless.

Saw that a couple of nights ago. Great movie, and has a similar sense of humour to the novel Catch-22. I'd say its a bit too serious to be called a comedy though.

I used to watch Big Trouble in Little China over and over as a kid. Awesome movie.

thx guys for the input. are there any movies that are funny like grandma's boy, half baked, and knocked up? i kinda like stoner movies even though i dun do pot.
 
Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights had a good few funny bits in it.

I second Army of Darkness, funniest movie ive ever seen

Bad Santa is also a laugh fest throughout, anchorman is pretty decent too.

Shadow of the Vampire (I found it hilarious)
Everything/Anything by Wes Anderson (although as humour goes it may be an acquired taste)
 
Harold and Kumar get the munchies is hilarious when watching with friends, and so is Kung Pow: Enter The Fist. Both are double the funny, or possibly triple when drunk.
 
Monty Pyphon and the Life of Brian was voted funniest film of all time, which I can agree it was absultely hilarious, but Monty Pyphon and the Holy Grail definately is the funniest film I have ever seen, I actually literally pissed myself laughing at some of those points.

Others I found hilarious include:
-Rush Hour
-Rush Hour 2
-Rat Race
-The Parole Officer
-O Brother Where Art Tho?
-The South Park Movie
-The Naked Gun films
-Shaun of the Dead
-Hot Fuzz
-Jason X

Probably others but thats what comes to mind at the moment.
 
Monty Python and The Holy Grail for sure. Seriously, I can't think of any moments that aren't funny in this film.
 
How could you think that the 40 Year Old Virgin is funny? I don't know why I sat through to the end of that film TBH.

My recommendations:
  • Hot Fuzz (There really aren't huge numbers of jokes in this film, but it is entertaining)
  • All 3 Naked Gun films
  • Both Airplane films (especially the first one)
  • Space Balls
  • Blazing Saddles.
  • All Monty Python films
  • Zoolander
  • Old School
  • Happy Gilmore

That's all that I can think of for now.
 
See, I thought 40 Year Old Virgin was one of the funniest movies I'd ever seen, and I also agree with all your recommendations. So go figure.
