Here's the tid bit.

If the FX57 comes out then the FX55 will turn into a 4200+ model. And prices will drop!

Just think of the performance this processor will bring! I mean the 2.4ghz model is fast, image 2.8!

I can remember discussing 1ghz CPU's and how fast they would be :rolleyes: ahhh how times are changing.

AH, I'd love to pick up one of those! Im going to wait until the end of the year to upgrade my processor. By that time, it'll allow me to save more money, wait for prices to drop, and also see what tech is out by Fall 2005. :thumbs:

If you are wondering why the FX isn't dual core, that's because a single higher clocked core will always be faster on any single (non multithreaded) application...like gaming. ;)
 
imagine the speed processors will be at by the time the UE3 engine releases its first game.
