Hello, I'm the original mapper of the "popular" fy_snow map. I've been working on the new version of fy_snow for CS:S about 2 days now and got it finished today.

Looks great for a fy_map. Never played the original. If i where you though i would expand the map to a bomb map. Like a nice tactical map, like dust2 or something. Love the light in this map, not to bright and not to dark.

Very nice! I'm amazed at the qaulity of 2 days work.. In 2 days I would be able to create.. well a cube :/

Great work - I'm amazed that took only a few days as well +downloaded!

Would be nice to be tactical but fy's are usually for run and gun - not too tactical. Plus there's a lot of fighting in close quarters so compact map is key + it helps keep the framrates high

map looks nice but i think since the mapper added houses, he should have just named the map something else.. or maybe i need to play the map first.. oh well.. i did download it so i'll check it out some time.

Omg are you the real maker of fy_snow!? Seriously, fy_snow is my favorite map. Good job! And don't forget to keep it simple.

fy stands for "Fun Yard" as I understand it.

It's definately a beautiful map, but it crashes my server. Does anyone know why this might be? I could find no missing resources and the srcds daemon is up to date. There are several "custom" maps that do the same (cs_assault_lith, cs_assaultv1, cs_millitia_beta4...and on)...

the ones that I've been able to find that will run are mindmaze, de_inferno_s_v2, de_rats and genx_brickworld3.

I'm hoping that a map maker may have more insight on this...I'm somewhat clueless...

thats easy. there are no 3d objects in the sky. this map, though, doesn't really scream for a 3d skybox anyhow.

I hate fy maps, they are a pathetic excuse for a mapper not making a real map. Well, thats a little hars. But I really hate it when all people do is make fy maps. You really need to not even start making fy maps.

This is going to be my last fy map. I'm working on the final version of this map which will include snow falling, 3D sky box, buyzone unless valve fix the ammo problem and some other changes... then im gonna make some REAL maps for FaW MOD.

Looking good. I like these straightforward dm maps - more action,faster pace. The original was pretty fun on csdm mod.
