its not new its just the first 2 minutes of the e3 demo (which is 20 minutes long) look at the thread i just put up on how to view t elsewhere instead of dling on steam

Well the textures for his face .. not only are they high-res but they also carefully designed to look realistic, with imperfections and all. Somebody must have put a lot of work into that.

The eyes .. well you know about the eyes

Ok, the movie was great, but why is my steam monitor still showing that its downloading "HL2 Movies" after Ive already downloaded and watched the first one? Is it already downloading the whole thing?

Heh, Ive already made a really nice screenshot out of the last bit with the HL2 Logo and has Half-Life 2 written under that. For being a windows screen cap its a really nice wallpaper.

Wow, my Steam client has been working for over an hour now (since I got the HL2 video with the Gman) at 560 Kb's/Second...that's alotta somethin.....hmmm??

To see how much time/percentage of your dl is left, you need to start the HL2 media icon and start to play the G-Man movie, then a window will popup showing the progress

you have to click the "Display" button in the window that pops up after you click the hl2 movie tab under the media section

where is this progress bar? does it only show up when you launch the file and it begins to download there, or is it on your monitor window?? I never saw it, but all I did was set it to download automatically and waited on the monitor window.

EDIT: too fast, nevermind.

They are videos, but they look almost like in-game demos.

u guys noticed a small animation glitch, near the beginning before the side pans, he sort of poped backwards.

You have to wait, mybe not only a few minutes...it took me 1 hour, but i'm in France so...

i downloaded the movie in 25 minutes (adsl 512 wannadoo)

dudes i can only download at 256k a second and it took me about 1.5 minutes to download latest steam updates and about 4 and a half minutes to get the movie, u all sux.
edit-to make this useful I was wondering why if he is an alien he would get blackheads? It seems that even if his skin was fake over a frame that would have to be some uber-realistic artificial skin to actually develop imperfections..
