I honestly doubt there's anything of significance in his suitcase. It just goes with the imposing image of a government figure (which by all means is undoubtedly a facade).

I dont remember seeing a gun and ID card/scanner in it. When i noclipped in HL1 i only saw papers and nothing else.

Yes, I nocliped in HL1 and saw papers and PDA. It works in HL2 ?

The inside is un-textured in HL2.

They probably were planning to have the suitcase siginificant and put the texture in there, then the plot changed and it would be useless to have it.

If any of you remember In counter-strike 1.3 or 1.4/1.5 The map de_vegas. There was a ghost of Gman the appeared in a hotel room about the mummy statue... :-( good ol vegas...

Yeah it was a ghost thing that appeared every 5 minutes or somthing. It's a nice easter egg

In HL1 you can do noclip cheat and enter his suitcase and see:
papers
a cool mini computer (he do his teleportation and disappears)
pencils
and a picture of him
