Word has it that Gabe Newell will deliver a keynote address at this years Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain Summit (DICE). I think it is fair to say that we can expect some very insightful words from Newell on the state of play in the games business. Newell will be talking on the 18th of February, that should be an interesting day.

Cant wait to hear what he has to say..

Oh yeah, we're going to see some Ep3 stuff for sure.

I would say it's a pretty safe bet we'll see something for Episode 3.

I don't know... I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you guys...
But on the other hand, it seems about time that Valve actualy showed us something.

My hopes are always up. I don't have to put them that way.

Counter-Strike: Portal "now you are thinking with po-LOL OWNED H2X0R KEKEKEKE PWN"

"Conference Opening Remarks" sounds more like a boring general introduction...
I doubt he will say those magic words "... and with this ocasion I am glad to say that Valve plans to release its next game on 13th October this year. We are grateful for our fans' patience and we can only say that they won't be disappointed this fall..."
Everybody would leave DICE instantly and would rush home to get on the forums and spread the word, and even placing Rick Roll on youtube as the new teaser for Ep3. :)
But yes, hope is what keeps us alive...

Meh, its DICE, not E3. He'll probably talk about Steam and the future of PCs and PC gaming which will nevertheless be exciting seeing how Gabe is a firm supporter of PC gaming. But actual upcoming games, i doubt. We shall see...

coming along with Ricochet Source.

I'd play it.

And no, I don't think Newell will say anything sufficient, if at all, about Episode 3. I have a hope that he recognizes it, though, just to reassure us that it's coming along in the development process.

I would make do with either info on a significant Source overhaul or upgrade or something related to Steam's future

It started, bitches.
