I've been thinking the last couple of months to get a portable game console, and I think I've found what I want

I was going to get one until I found out they don't play original GameBoy games. I'm just gonna pick up an SP

Because the GBA is still the best handheld for gaming on the move - and this is the coolest version of the gba (imo)

I didn't get a DS for playing on the bus, but because it has great line-up and offers games you can't get on any other platform. I play my DS at home. I didn't get a PSP because it has no games, other than Lumines, that interest me. If I did get a PSP it wouldn't be for playing on the move either.

The GBA has many excellent games available, certainly many more than the PSP. The DS is continuing this trend with a good deal of decent titles too - with many good/great ones on the way. So far the PSP has had a rather poor lineup.

Anyway, Treasure is finally releasing a sequal to Gunstar Heroes (woohoo!!), and its exclusive to the GBA. What more could you want?

Don't get into this kind of thing again...that's fanboyism where it doesn't belong.

EDIT: The GBA is the best because: it came before DS and PSP, heck about 3 years before; it has an insane amount of games that appeal to anyone, and it's more portable than either the DS or PSP, even more portable with an SP, and the most portable with a Micro.

Plus, I played a PSP and I hated the analog stick. It's a cheap alternative to the D-pad. A touch screen would've been nice.

What games do you have? Do you have any friends with a DS? It really is a great machine in multiplayer.

There are plenty of good titles if you know where to look, just do a little research. At the very least check out Lumines and Advance Wars.

Don't be afraid to import either - quite a few decent games haven't been released outside of Japan.

i don't understand why people get portable games consoles. Personally I'd rather have a proper console or a pc that have games that really hold my attention instead of games to occupy you for 5 minutes on the bus.

Besides being smaller, what does the Micro have that SP doesn't?

The screen is an order of magnitude brighter - even brighter than a DS screen. It's also sharper. That's all really.

Personally I think it looks sexier than an SP... but I already have a DS...
