When I change options for the game from the main menu like turning off pixel shaders, and then press apply or done, the game closes without an error message.
The reason I am trying to turn off pixel shaders is because although my computer meets the minimum requirements (I checked with Can you run it?), my graphics card (Intel graphics controller) does not support pixel shaders. That is probably why when I start a new game, there is a blank screen but I can still hear that freaky guy's voice and everything. (Since it might be useful to know, the same thing happens in Alien Arena)
My question is, is there a way to change Half Life 2's options outside of the game (like a config file), or is there a simpler way to fix both errors.
