Game Crash

Once a level has finished loading, my half life crashes. it comes up with a message that says somethin about an unexpected error. It does this when i try to change the graphic settings aswell. Any Ideas?

Well I would verify your steam files (not sure of the link, maybe someone can post it). If you change your GFX settings then restart HL2.

I'm not sure which half life you're talking about. So i will post both.
