Game Crashing on Level Loading?

Does anyone else have the problem where some levels will load and other will just show the loading sign and then play the windows error noise and then crash to desktop?
If anyone has a fix for this plz post

It happens in CS:S when I try to load DE_Aztec

1.2Ghz CPU
526mb DDR ram
Nvidia FX 5600
Soundblaster pro

Happens to me too, but always at the same place: After speaking to barney, jumped out window onto crate, walked around outside, get to door -> loading, and then the crash.

If you run the game in windowed mode, you'll see the error... bet you my copy of HL it's gonna be a "memory could not be read" error.

I'm sick of this shit. Look around other forums - there must be thousands of other people having the same issue.

Total time spent trying to get it working after buying the CDs: 30+ hours.
Total time spent playing: Less than 5 minutes.
Going to bed in a huff.
