Game Crashing on Startup

Ok I used to play oblivion a lot, but then I reformmated my HD and had to install it again. Well I just got around to doing so recently and now I seem to be having a problem. Whenever I startup the game it crashes within seconds with a windows xp "report problem" type box..

I have tried installing the 1.1 patch, did absolutly nothing to fix it, I tried disabling mods which did nothing. I have a 100% legal/real copy of oblivion so that is not the problem either. I have the latest graphics drivers, and have played around with resolutions and graphical settings, having no effect. I have also tried reinstalling the entire damned game, and once again...did nothing to solve my problem. Someone please help me fix it, I tried googling and got no result for my problem so I need help because I want to play

That happened to me when I first got the game, I just restarted my PC and that fixed it.

It was a font problem. I tried changing the fonts used in the games .ini file. I had the font name off by a few letters. Fixed the name and then the game worked fine. thanks for help though slacker
