Game "hangs" during play

Hey all,

I re-installed my pc..
Installed Steam and installed CS:S & HL2 through steam.
I started CS and during the game it just hangs for a few sec.
After that the game continious but offcource.. im dead

Anyone what this could be ?

Latest Vid. Card drivers.
Latest Sound Card drivers

PC Specs :
AMD 64bits 3500+
1 GIG dual chan mem
V6800 GT 256 mb
2x Raptop 74G Raid-0

Uh, the only thing I can think of is that your computer is still loading content when you're playing. So what I suggest is typing "cl_forcepreload 1" in to make sure it loads all the models and stuff.

i installed some new forceware drivers too.. will check it out if that helps too

It may be do to a Proccesor "Hiccup" caused by some spyware. You could also be experiencing lag. Just run a spyware check because your system specs are top notch.
