Game Is Currently Un-available??

Okay, Ive gotten all necessary updates for steam and HL2....Ive registered the game...Ive uninstalled and did everything above over again....Ive done every stinkin thing i could think of yet I cant play the game....when i goto properties it says 99% done and needs update.....bull...crap. My problem is that I cant play the game at all...period...online or offline....I am in desperate need of help as i have just forked out nearly 60 ********* dollars for a game that wont work.

Have you tried restarting steam? Rebooting your computer?

Yes, Of course. It still doesnt work...it just says this game is not ready to be played offline...ive got all updates and registered but i just dont know whats wrong

Did you get the retail version or the steam download? Normally when it tells me the game is unavaliable I just close steam and re-open it and all is well.

My steam came with the game....so i guess thatd be retail. All I did was buy the game, install it, update steam and HL2, register HL2, then uninstall and do it all over again a few times (except the Register HL2 part because after the first time i registered it said I already a game registered by that CD key).

Please Try again at a later time." Is exactly what the piece of Steamy **** says. I really need help, I was so excited to play this game.....maybe its my Video Card....i have a ATI Radeon IGP 345m.....is that it?

No, the hardware wouldn't affect it being avaliable or not. I really have no clue what the problem is, are you trying to play offline?

Yes sir, and it says it is not yet ready to be played online....
