Game Profiles

I wish all PC games allowed you to create separate user profiles for savegames. Right now the only reason my father has his own user account on Vista is to keep savegames seperate. It also prevents him from playing any game on Steam that doesn't have separate user profiles unless he remembers which saves are his and which are mine. Does anyone know of a way around this, or am I going to just have to wait for developers to wake the hell up?

Can't tell you how many times I had to restart GTA 3 because dad was just "screwing around" on it and thought he had to save.

I remember when I was like 10 I had super mario tennis or something like that for the Gameboy Color, and my parents kept telling me to let my brother play despite what I was telling them about saves and whatnot. The kid had it for about 5 seconds and all my progress was gone.
