Most video games these days took years to make. HL2 took what, 4 or 5 years? My question is how do they know what kind of video cards and processors we'll have in the future? Moreover, how do THEY run the games in early beta stages?
Right now, some company is making a game we don't know about that blows away the graphics in any game we have now. What do they run the game with? How do they know what features will be in the next DX? Do ATI and nvidea give them cards that aren't released yet? I've probably asked about 20 questions in this thread. Do you guys think that's too many?
