Hey,

What are some new (or old) PC or PS2 shooter games that are worth buying? I have heard real good reviews about UT2004 and City of Heroes. All I have for PC right now is Half-Life 1 & 2 (of course) and Splinter Cell. I just got the PS2 a couple days ago and needs some games for that. I don't want to speed money on games that are no good, so your input and reviews are appriciated. Thanks!

ut2004 is good,
KOTOR, if you like rpg's
Rome: total war is also good.

hope that helps :)

For PC:

Far Cry
DOOM 3
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines
Postal 2
Call of Duty
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault

For PS2:
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Viewtiful Joe 2
Jak 3
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Need for Speed Underground 2

Thanks. I'm not really into RPGs, mostly just shooters and action/adventure games.

My brothers have San Andreas, so I can just borrow it from them when they aren't playing.

I have Ratchet & Clank, it came with the system along with Crash, I haven't played them yet, because I've been so consumed with HL2. I'll get around to it.

Yeah, I've also been meaning to check out Doom 3 and Max Payne. Thanks for the recommendations! Keep 'em coming...

Check out the MGS series. Try to get your hands on MGS (psx game) first. Then move onto MGS2 and 3. Playing MGS3 without the background of the other 2 would be much less satisfying. These games have the best stories in video game history if you ask me. Lots of twists and turns. Very cinematic feel (they'd make damn good movies).

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, MGS 3: Snake Eater, Ninja Gaiden, Unreal Tournament 2004, Far Cry, Doom III.

Doom 3
Far Cry
Half-Life 2 (duh?)
Painkiller
war hammer 40,000
Painkiller: Battle out of Hell
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay - Developer's Cut
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

I'd go with this one too. Although while it can be very action based the guns lead a little to be desired.
