Just had the "Christmas Catalog" delivered from Game here in the UK... they claim that HL2 will be released in "Winter 2004"

I hope for our sake they've made a typo and are not privvy to some unreleased information, heheh :D

First post so hello everyone, btw!

If thats true then it can mean two things, either that its coming in jan-march or nov-dec 2004 :/.

And if its november 04 then valve need to change the engine and add the very latest technology in that time plus increasing the Models Polys so they can look detailed as Doom3'S Models.:dozey:

Any other games listed as winter 2004....doubt it, so its no doubt a typo. Not that a date in print means anything anyway.

Why in a Christmas catalog it would show a game that comes out in a year?

Um, guys, Winter lasts from December 21 thru March 21, so Winter 2004 almost always refers to the first quarter of the year...

Lol, it wasn't meant to be serious guys... it was obviously a typo - all the other winter games were "Winter 2003".

It just made me laugh, after all the waiting we've done. Just a massive coincidence that the game they had the typo on was HL2, the inconsiderate swines :)

I noticed a typo in a leaflet today.

Does that mean I should post a thread about it? Answers on a postcard.

I'm sorry, I should have asked for your permission before posting.

I'll return to the other forums I usually post on, where I can converse with adults, lol! I should have known better than to post on this one.
