Game won't load

When I start up Half Life 2 it's fine. The Valve thing comes up normally and the menu loads. I can select the game I want to load but the thing is it doesn't load up at all. It's so annoying. Can anyone help?

i have the same problem with my steam and cs source game. when i log into steam it looks find but when i click on cs source to play it won't load up. any fix. please help.
