They haven't guessed any old date.

Officially the date stands at TBC 2004... which is anywhere between now and 31st December 2004. So at the end of the day it doesnt matter.

or Gameplay is not saying anything atall if thats fake. As according to the gameplay guy thats just a temp date untill the publisher issue a proper one.

Actually, Gameplay is saying (guessing) 24/09/2004 too according to their website.

I think the email saying April 1 was sent to me was in error.

At the end of the day, noone knows anything new, there is no release date. But if by some miracle HL2 is released in April, Munro has promised to buy us all a copy

Im not sure if you guys just dont like to read or what but the september 24th date is only a placeholder and nothing more. They have no inside info on when hl2 is coming out, seeing that they have no date to put in, they decided to put in 9/24/04 so they would have a date in there. Dont fret.
