gaming forums ?

so, i'm looking for some gaming forums with no real specific 'theme' (as in, not dedicated to a game, like hl2.net and not dedicated to something, like the penny-arcade forums are good but there is still that pa 'theme') imagine this 'general games chat' but on a larger scale.

any suggestions ?

The SomethingAwful gaming forums are really good, and aren't overly bias towards anything (unlike Penny Arcade which seems to be a big nintendo fanclub). Other than that, i don't really know any others. Oh and you need to pay to register at the SA forums. Sucks i know.
