They're probably a total waste of money, but my freebie is wearing out. Does anyone have any suggestions for which I could buy?

The most expensive i've seen is the "IceMat
Does anyone have this? And if so is it any good?

Thanks.

I paid ?30 for my Everglide Giganta about 6years ago. Hasn't got a scratch on it and goes everywhere my computer goes. Even the Everglide symbol hasn't worn of and ontop of that its always nice and smooth and responsive. Good stirdy bit of expensive plastic I have :D

I recommend them, unless you have a habit of losing them. Because you will have it... forever ever.

same as Shakermaker. Very impressive mat tbh. I just don't use the arm rest.

mat/pad who cares? I use some steel series thing I won a while back.

A mouse pad for gaming? Are you using analog or optical mice? I use a thumball mouse myself, but if I had an optical mouse, the only reason I'd use a pad is if my table had a glass top. Am I missing something?

I use a Logi G5, so its Laser.

Thanks for the help guys, might get myself one of those Razers ;)

I use a QCK Steel, its about 13' by a 12'.

Didn't know it was that big, but it works.

Icemats are amazing, and they're only $25. I love mine so much. It truly is like having your mouse on ice.

I have a funcpad atm. Two sides, one side is textured and one smooth. I use the textured side. Actually thinking of picking up one of the QCK Steel cloth pads though.

I'm using this:

I had it for my birthday, and its so comfortable. Not sure what its called though, but its fantastic.

And yes, I'm still using a ball mouse.

When you next vacuum your room, vacuum your keyboard too. It takes all of 5 seconds. In fact, you could have done it while you were reading this post.

I actually suggest that everyone does that. The sheer amount of crap you can find in your keyboard will amaze you.

You can get a load out simply by holding it tilted towards you and whacking it on your desk. Compressed air can work well too.

At uni our house became infested with ants. My keyboard was full of crumbs and bits of chocolate and one day I noticed ants crawling in and out from between the keys. Thinking back it makes me cringe - the place was so skanky and mould covered. We even had a drunk guy at a party shit all over our bathroom - he even crapped on the toilet brush (wtf) - and instead of cleaning it up we strategically covered it in paper and left to dry. It wasn't cleaned up untill a month or so later when a friends mum came round and cleaned the whole house. I digress - the ants that weren't killed by typing/gaming, along with all the other debris, all came out with a combination of shaking and a blast of air.

Make your own :D
I went to my local Reverse Garbage, picked up a sheet of perspex and a couple of rubber circles for grip.
This way you can make nice paint jobs for the underneath and customize it yourself!
I threw it away though :( It warped; however, a nice 3 years of service.

Get the Razer exactmat like Shaker said if you have a high sensitivity or just like hard pads. For low sensitivity the Corepad Eyepad is a great (and cheap) mat, or the Everglide Monstermat/Fnatic, also a great mat.
