Any of you out there watch the History Channel documentary Gangland? The episode I'm watching tonight is "Race Wars".

This show is intense. I wish something would be seriously done about the gangs in this country, as they are eating away at society.

Yeah. So far this week there has been three separate gang-related shootings in my town, one of which an execution-style triple homicide. It's so freaking lame.

You know the most terrible thing? Jail doesn't stop or curb these criminals. If anything, jail strengthens them. Gangs operate from within the prisons and exert their power effortlessly on rival gangs and innocents alike from within. Aryan Brotherhood, Mexican Mafia, Crips, Bloods... it doesn't matter, jail doesn't stop them.

These people need to be summarily executed if the problem is going to be stopped in all seriousness. Either that or we need to prevent 100% the ability of these gangs from operating within the prison and influencing the outside world.

I've watched so many of these documentaries on gangs and gang warfare, and that's how I've come to these conclusions. We're not doing enough to stop the problem, and anybody who thinks just locking them up will solve the problems, they are idiots. :|
