If this is a retarded idea, I do apologize, and feel free to flame/delete/whatever.

Honestly, I don't see how people do it...how do you have the patience to sit there and make awsome stuff! I have ideas, but I just can't seem to force myself to sit there and learn/make everything. Anyway, this thread is to throw out requests/inspiration to those who love doing stuff in GMod, for those of us who fail at it.

I'll start off: I've had this idea for a long time, but I suck really hard with doing stuff in Gmod right now (lol noobs). Please...someone has to make a music video with Dr. Breen, zombies, and combine to the song Move your Dead Bones. The lyrics are PERFECT. Here they are in case you're lazy.

I have some tips:

When you need to be precise when you position something on the ground, duck. You'll move slower and it will become easier. (Freeze that prop first!)

For moving contraptions freeze everything until after you've welded it all, that way you can avoid welding something to 2 things that were in different positions at the time, causing iffy movement and possible spazzing.

You can hold the shift and use key(default E) while holding something with your phys-gun to snap the prop to [I think it's called] the map grid.

Use the above tip to build something more easily, freeze a base prop on a grid position and place other parts on a grid position around it, you can build something as simple as a blast door boxcar that much easier.

I find it useful to move props from different angles, I recommend freezing props in place and building up your contraption from a different angle.

When you play on public servers you're generally expected to build something, not play with the LUA balls or mess around with the tools, thats what singleplayer is for. Asking for help is fine, but messing around could get you kicked or even banned, remember on the popular servers there may be regulars/more serious builders waiting to come in.
