Due to the amount gay'ish threads lately. Its got me thinking if genrally people overall see homosexulity as something which is okay, or completely wrong.

There seems to be alot of negative addtitudes towords homosexulity on the internet, Not so bad in the "real world".
Even though its natural in a sense that its found commonly in the animal kingdom, Plus the fact they don't have a choice about it because of a more femine brain, and the xq28 gene.

Most gays are also "in the closet". Some even develop homophobic attitude towards other gays, because they are scared of being identifed as a gay themselves.

Frankly I don't give a damn which way i come out. Mostly I prefer women, but I find it annoying when my freinds get hate mail, just because they prefer to "cuddle up" with the same sex.

Yeah i know there other threads like this, but i don't want to dig up a old thread. Because peoples thoughts on this change quickly.

Keep it nice and clean. I don't won't major arguments over this. I just want a discussion.

Translation of answers:

Option 1. I have a brain.
Option 2. I am crazy-mad.
Option 3. I refuse to come out of the cloest.

If someone who is homosexual, good for them. If they find me sexually attractive, so what?

They'll feed you poppers and go for teh bumsechs D:

I think its hilarious when people act terrified that a gay person might find them attractive. Is it that horrible of a concept? Isn't it the same, if not as bad, as an unattractive and obnoxious person of the opposite sex likes you?

I think it's the concept of forcible anal violation, like some gay dude will see you in the street, be overwhelmed by your sheer manliness and make you drop your trousers at gunpoint whilst he takes you from behind with his enormous phallus

It's lucky short recoil wears spiked iron undergarments.

I don't think that many people really think that :p

ROFFLE!

i voted for choice 1...

Sexual preference is up to the indervidual to decide, so no problems for me, I dont mind.

meh I dont mind if gay men find me attractive ..I'm an equal opportunity hottie ;)

The number one rule about male hotness:

"First come the gays. then the girls. then the women" - sex and the city (no, I'm not gay just because i've seen it a few times. it's actually a great show, should teach you a few things as well)

im perfectly fine with it. My best friend is gay. when he came out it made no differerence to me, we were best freinds before, and hes the same person now. why should someones sexual prefrence effect wether your friends with them?
What i dont unserstand is some straight people worrying that just because they have a gay friend they they will fancy them.

Do all straight women fancy every man on the planet? no.. so why should a gay man fancy you just because your male, and equally why should a gay woman fancy you simply because your female?

omg
<one minuter later>
good thing i wasn't drinking anything when i read this :D

as for gay people? i know a few and no, despite what people may believe they are normal people and don't pull out guns in hopes of scaring people into dropping their trousers.
for those who think like that...or have other mis-conceptions of people who happen to be gay, its time to crawl out from under that rock and discover the world.

seriously.

Woa...so now your labeling peoples opinions? I think your options would be better fit if people were tolerant vs intolerant vs dont care.

I personally am tolerant towards homosexuals, having a few as friends but I still find it wrong and sick.

Guys think they're a whole lot sexier than they really are, which is why they fear gay guys so much.

Quoted for truth!

I have no problem with it. For the most part I cant tell if someone is gay or not, it doesnt really affect the way they act or anything. Now the girly gay people I hate. You know, the ones with a lisp, saying "like, oh my god." and walk wierd and do strange hand gestures. That pisses me off. But that kind of stuff pisses me off if a woman does it too, so it really isnt an issue of sexuality.

The anti-gay movement is nothing but a pointless culture battle to throw focus off the more important issues.

"Taking people's rights away is more important than saving people's lives! As long as Jesus loves me!!!"

That is pocket fascism, and I don't approve of it.

It's no more "wrong and sick" than sticking your sausage up a women's bottom. There are many straight fetishes that are equally "wrong." Note how I keep quoting wrong because I don't believe it is. It might not necessarily be normal statisitc wise, but it is far from being wrong.

If there is a need by anyone who wants to bash a sexual preference, try pedophilea (sp?)

Yeah all of that is also sick and wrong in my view. Does that change what I think about homosexuals? No...what they do in the bedroom is still sick and wrong in my mind. Does that mean I wont talk to my gay friends? Nope.

There are documented cases of gay lions in the wild. I think that just meant that they stuck together in a pack of all males. But from an evolutionary point of view, it crops up all throughout history, so it's probably not a society thing. It seems to be ingrained into genetics. You're born gay, you don't become gay. It makes sense that there might be a benefit to having a certain percent of the population not producing babies, but still contributing to society overall otherwise it would be bred out because those genes don't get passed along. It's not like we need to increase the population as it stands. I think there's lots of species that only have certain members actively reproducing.

I voted no because I feel that sodomy is degrading to a person's diginity.

homosexuality isnt exclusively defined as a sexual act

it doesn't bother you when you catch a man staring at your ass? are you sure you are straight? you sound a bit confused. fact.

ho·mo·sex·u·al·i·ty [hmə sekshoo állətee, hmō sekshoo állətee]

this is from dictionary.com. I dont know where lous is from but this is pretty clear that is it sexual.

ho·mo·sex·u·al·i·ty Audio pronunciation of "homosexuality" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hm-sksh-l-t, -m-)
n.

1. Sexual orientation to persons of the same sex.
2. Sexual activity with another of the same sex.

PDA is usually something people don't want to see, whether straight or gay.

CptStern said:

In speaking of is the act of homosexuality, it is not functionally natural for two men to have sex. Some people may have homosexual tendencies that they can't control, but the burden is on them to choose functionally natural sexuality or to choose functionally unnatural sexuality. (I would mention women too but that isn't really sex)

ugly straight people kissing is disturbing, old people kissing is disturbing, young people kissing is disturbing ..I dont care what sex it is! unless it's 2 women I dont want to see people kissing in public (admited bias here)

the Last One in: it's not natural to dye our hair, pirece our noses or add silcone balls to our chests

you know what they say about people who are unreasonably paranoid that gay men are just waiting to pounce :uopstare:

yes I'm sure I'm straight ...my wife and son should be enough of a reminder

It's perfectly fine, anyone who thinks otherwise is a bell-end

I don't really care either way. As long as they don't claim I'm gay, or hit on me.

Why does everyone always equate homosexuality to anal sex? One can exist without the other.
Glirk Dient said:

No debate is required. You are indeed a "bell end" if you are predjudiced against people with a differing sexual preference than yourself.

I'm quite alright with it. I got a few gay/bisexual friends. They're cool kids.

And why are people bad mouthing those who don't feel its right? I'm sorry, I didn't realize everyone's opinion was fact. Who cares if Glirk or Last One don't see it as right, its they're opinion just as its our opinion that its fine. God, people want free speech, but only free speech for their beliefs :|.

the bible says something about homosexuality being a sin i think, but i think that if they want to be gay, they can. i guess it would be completely okay if the homo is not christian.

my mom once caught a man staring at my ass. ever since that day I've become very 'suspicious' of gay men.
