Don't believe November, but who knows. I really hope the story gets better though. I never finished the first one because I just ended up not giving a damn whatsoever. It got boring pretty fast for me.

I can believe November. They already have the engine fully ported to the 360 via the original Gears of War, and they will have had about a year and a half to basically make new levels and enemies.

I enjoyed playing Gears of War co-op with a friend, I can see myself doing that again for this but not really any more than that. Still though, I don't see them moving on much from the first one, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since it was fun.

Also, chainsaw guns. CHAINSAW GUNS!

I'm waiting for it, I really liked the original GoW for it's aesthetic (akin to steampunk), fun combat and possibly the most satisfying sniper rifle ever created.

I do hope they'll expand the gameplay somewhat, though.

Meh. Gears of Wars was pretty repetitive – rinse repeat gameplay through and through. I still need to finish it (and will now that my 360 has been repaired).

No, no it's not.

I like some of the new features they've added for it, though. Destructible environments are pretty great. along with the water effects. I have to wonder, though, if they'll be making sacrifices to the rest of the graphics to accommodate this sort of thing. Are you going to be able to blow an entire courtyard to smithereens, creating new pieces of cover as you go, or is the destruction going to be limited to small corridors for purely aesthetic purposes? I have trouble imagining the Xbox 360 being able to handle such demanding things in a real gameplay environment.

Also, stop picking on Gears of War. It's a great game. Just because you're all a little pissy and teary-eyed over the "travesty" that was Unreal Tournament 3 doesn't mean you have to bash everything Epic does.
