I wasn't a huge fan of GoW multiplayer for XBoX 360, but I loved the singleplayer.

How are the controls in GoW multiplayer for PC? Is it a good port?

According to a few guys on another forum it runs and looks great. If you haven't played Gears on the 360 then go check it out, it's a blast :)

i think you use the keyboard with the pc version............

It's not even a port, they rebuilt it from ground up so there's nothing technically the same from the 360 version.

It's flawless. I haven't played the 360 version, but I took to the control scheme right away. This is an excellent game. Non-stop, in your face action is a blast.

I really want a demo or something before I get it, lots of people are having problems with it. And not just crappy pc noobs.

There's other ways to demo a game y'know.

Actually, that's exactly what I'm doing ;)
(before I made the last post lol)

Only problem I've had is finicky squad AI. Other than that, the game runs at above 60 fps on a single 8800GTS with everything maxed and 16x12. I get tearing if I don't enable vsync :X

This game is 7GB?! That would be a hefty demo for me.

8800s, apparently that and the 2900 are the ONLY inclusion for benchmarks anymore as well.

Man am I glad I demoed first.

This game is ...mediocre at best.

Very nice graphics, but good God the control is shit.
And the performance is variable, there's a constant stutter throughout the whole game... making it fairly difficult to play properly but aside from stuttering it runs beautifully.

But damn, the control feels all wrong.
You can't even adjust your mouse sensitivity. :|
Keyboard control feels a bit unresponsive at times too maybe I just need to get used to it all? Switching from cover to cover is a bit messy, sprinting is a pain in the balls... it feels like you lose control of the guy when you sprint, cause it's hard as **** to control him and make sure you're running in the right direction.

Meh, I'll play it properly after school.

Yes you can, it's under keyboard and mouse settings near the bottom.

Sprint was designed like this. Not sure why, but I suppose it does make it so you can't just sprint from place to place during a fire fight.

Yeah, I just noticed the mouse thing.

Makes it a bit better now that I can actually aim.

The game is fun and really tough in some spots.
I keep forgetting that my guy can't take many hits and getting killed by trying to go rambo. :X

The one thing that pisses me off are my squadmates, especially Dom. He seems to like running into a group of locusts, then I have to go rescue him. Headaches galore. :hmph:

Why is there no PC demo? I want to see how it performs on ma PC. :/

Same. I heard a couple too many stories about people having problems getting it to run well. The official forums are full of complaints. Which is normal really just after release, but still.

My only true gripe atm is the terrible performance issues.

It has a constant stutter throughout the whole damn game, makes it impossible to play properly.
