geforce 6800u NEW - $139

It's the Asus 9999 gamer. It's an overclocked 6800 non-ultra (12 pipes instead of 16) with DDR3 memory. For that price, it's a steal. I'd say it's performance is between a 6800 GT and a 6800 non-ultra. Good value right there.

Wow. So do you think thats a good buy?

**** yeah it is.

*Edit*

I'd check the site on BBB first though. :)

Interesting.

Hehe. Sounds like a gamble to me. But then again, even if they screw up and give you a normal 6800 Non-Ultra, you're still 100 bucks ahead. :naughty:

*edit*

Haha, apparently PCHardware4u.com is a sister company of A2Zcomputers, which has a lovely rating of...:http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1723.html

actually, no. the same manufacturer part number in google brings up this as first link:

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-121-176&depa=0

which is the appropriate price.

its a true 6800u being advertised. but i doubt they will honor it.

What do you guys think I should do?

Common sense should tell you what to do.

Stay away from it like the plague. It is a scam or a rip-off.

If I were to buy it and it not to work, do you think they would allow me to return it?

Actually, yes. The Asus 9999 "Ultra" is only 12 pipes. The "Ultra" is Asus' name for it, not nVidias. The Asus is no ultra by nVidia standards.

It lists the Ultra. Look up model numbers on Asus's site

http://usa.asus.com/products/vga/vgaindex.htm

If I were to buy it and it not to work, do you think they would allow me to return it?

*Sigh*

I'm not going to change your mind, are you?

Why do you think I said it was like a gamble? :naughty: They'd probably ship you a TNT 2, say it was a Diamond Stealth, and then charge you for tax twice, "loose" your number, ship you a 64 meg PC100 stick, and wipe you off of their records.

LIKE I said. It's Ultra by ASUS' standards (Not the forum member, hehe.)

It is a 6800 Ultra. Not the Gamer's edition or whatever garbage they are calling it. Match up the model numbers!

I never said I was going to buy it. I don't know if I can trust that site.

Man.

I had to choose between buying HL2 right now and having some money to go out with friends. Such is the life of a college student.

Are you going to have them shipped tomorrow? Please do :-) and report back to me fast.

Do not buy this card. Go to www.pricewatch.com -> video cards -> 6800 ultra 256 -> reviews for the pchardware4u.com. Read them, but also look at the times.. A little fishy if you ask me.

I don't know if you guys are on something or if I am, but that price says 699 not 139...... :x

yea it just changed from like one day ago..hmm so im still waiting if P43.2/1Gig/X800P gets it or they changed the price to 699...isnt htis card only like 400-500 bucks??

Yesterday the price said exactly $139.00.. Now it says $699, and that isn't even the true price for those cards.. I am confused greatly by that.
