So I've just got my geforce 9800 GX2, I'm having trouble finding the connectors for the HDMI audio on my mobo.

Motherboard Name: MSI K8N SLI (MS-7185)

help :(

Did your card come with a cable? If your onboard audio has a S/PDIF connector inside the case then it would probably just be 2 pins. One GND (ground) and one S/PDIF_OUT.

Thanks Asus

I think i got it wrong the first time.

WHy did you buy the GX2 and not the 4870X2, as far as I know it is cheaper and better.

If you are trying to set it up for DVD playback then what if you had a S/PDIF connection on the back of your DVD drive?
I know CD Audio playback can be feed directly to the sound card passing the system via the audio connections on the back of the drive. Might be able to do that with DVD movie playback to the GPU for pass through.

I just want to hook my HDMI to my LCD, and i don't have a sound card D:

Don't have any speakers to use instead of what is built onto the LCD?

No reason to keep the audio digital and use HDMI unless your card specifically supports DTS or Dolby 5.1 encoding on non-dolby audio (games/music). Few sound cards/onboard support that. The main DTS/Dolby support that all have is decoding for playback of DVDs.

I think it support that

So i found another thing i can use this thing
