Hey, I dont know too much about this card, but I've heard iffy things..

Can anyone give me some Pros/Cons?

Cons: It sucks, horribly. Don't waste your money.

The FX5200 is nothing but a glorified GeForce 2, the only decent nVidia cards are the GeForce FX 5700 or the 5900 series

get an ati 9500 or better, nv fx 5700 or better..
otherwise.. a nvidia gf4 TI series card.. 4200-4600, (4800 is only a 4200 w/ 8xagp)

You sure? I remember reading benchmark reviews.. maybe that was the 5600? I know they compared one of the two low-end FX cards to a GeForce 2 GTS

It was the G4MX (its a G2+).

The FX5200 is very similar though, but not that much in features (the G4MX is VERY different from the G4), mainly in speed.
An example from a current game is Max Payne 2, in the readme concerning Geforce cards:
"Mirrors are supported only by GeForceFX cards. Even then, we recommend keeping them disabled on GeForceFX 5200 for performance reasons."

i have a geforce 2 mx400, ladies and gentle man this carfd is shit!!!!!

wont even run CS with vsync on, i get 30 fps. on my cusins 9800 SE, but tweaked with, i turn on vsynce, 8xaa 8xaf, and it still does constant 100. trust me do not buy this card.

What are you talking about?

The Ti4800 is a completely different card :dozey:... its like comparing a Radeon 7000 with a Radeon 9200...

Very, Very minimally - the only difference between the Ti4200 and the Ti4200 with AGP 8x is the bandwidth, and the Ti4200 doesn't really need the 2.1GB/sec that AGP 8x provides in the first place.

Depends what your budget it. Best "budget" card you can buy is the Radeon 9600 Pro, then comes the 9600XT.

9600 Pro runs for about $160ish online, while the 9600XT is about $200 (although you can get a 9600XT cheaper, they usually don't come with the HL2 voucher).

The 9600XT has a voucher for HL2, so basically you're getting the card for $150 and paying the extra $50 for HL2 ahead of time.
