General Discussion Forum is infested with idiots!

Is it just me? or is the general discussion forum really turning into a nightmare? there are several delay threads each day, most are pranks now like the latest one by Acidtrip, and I don't see any moderators closing down the threads. I can only hope this trend will stop once official news on Halflife's status is given, until then it seems the idiots will rule the forum.

Well, Abom was basically the moderator who really put his heart into moderating that place. But hes away. When he gets back its sure to calm down a bit. Id do a bit, but OFF TOPIC is where i moderate, i have no power in General, other than the fact my word carries a little weight because I'm a mod.

Yea, the forum was peaceful around May and June, when there was little over a 1000 members. And now hl2.net has hit over 4000 members and it's gonna get crazier, especially when the big day nears.

u know which one really stands out tho? the one about 600 posts..that guy sure knew how to get rid of post counts, i'll tell ya that.

if anything, it takes the cake!

They didnt remove post count because of him, they removed it because of all those posts like:

i never said that guy wasn't cool.. but surely a "look at me! i have 600 posts now" thread is not any better than another HL2 delay thread..

Chris_D is an intelligent poster on this forum.. had he created a similar thread, i would have said the same thing.. but then again, Chris_D isn't a spammer and certainly doesn't gloat about the silliest things such as post counts..
