George Best all the best or

sad news, but when people do that stuff to themselves I dont feel as bad. Shouldve gotten help earlier to quit drinking

youd think his friends would have stopped him from drinking so much.... i can't say i feel so sorry for him but it can be hard to break a habit sometimes.

This will make me sound like a complete dick, but he's had so many chances now to turn it around, and now it's too late.

Yeah, think of the people who couldn't help what happened to them, not getting a transplant when people like George Best get one no probs.

I hope he lives, but I think it won't be long now until he's gone.

Stop acting like its easy to quit drink. Its harder than anything else you can get addicted to.

No one here is denying that fact, but he has had a lot of time to try. And now it's too late. I'm not saying it in a manner of "Told ya so" but thats how it is.

Random anecdote.

I asked for a pint of George Best in the pub, rather than a pint of Best.

Hopefully he pulls through, but so many years of alcohol abuse have pickled him silly.

Same as everyone else, really. I don't want him to die, but he's wasted an organ someone else could have had. Honestly, I don't give a shit how hard it is to drink. He should have realised that instead of him dying, someone else died, and that really should have woken him up. It hasn't, so my sympathy is unfortunately rather limited.
