George Best dies

Its such a shame, the papers made him dead since yesterday though. He was given a second chance with a new liver, but he wouldn't stop the drink, and he's paid the price. As much as it upsets me of his death, i can't help think what a silly man, he brought it upon himself. He had so much help around him.

ohmygawsh that was hilarious dude. You get a cupcake laced with LSD :D

Another sad day in sport, Best fought to the last, and despite abusing the second chance he had at life via further boozing, he will be sorely missed.

Also, another great sportsman, Rally Driver Richard Burns has passed away following his long term struggle with a Brain Tumour and resulting illness

How is it not newsworthy?

Can't say I'm a football fan, but without him, England wouldn't have the title of winning the world cup in 1966.

Uh, Best played for Northern Ireland mate, and as such never played in a World Cup

To be honest Burnsy deserves all this unfound attention they are giving waster wife-beater Best.
Richard was a REAL decent guy cut off in his prime at 34. RIP RB

He wasn't my favourite driver, but he was still very good and did win the World Championship.

I did that with a bit of news on the BBC homepage the other day.

I read it as "fifty dies in India" and I thought "what the **** was fiddy doing in India anyway?".
