A demo for the German edition of Call of Juarez is now available, offering the chance to sample Techland's upcoming first-person shooter set in the wild wild west (or in German, vild, vild, vest). The demo includes a mission for each of the game's main characters, but the proceedings are entirely in German.

I just saw this too. Looks like it could be fun even though my German is very limited. The game itself might be a nice departure from the normal FPS world of sci-fi or WWII....

there's quite a bit of dialogue .at least the videos seem to confirm that

awesome there's a whip in game that you can use to sneak into dancing girl bedrooms :O :naughty:

Man! Being at work all day really stinks--especially with this fun demo just begging to be played! Sounds awesome, but yes, the English demo should be better (for comprehension purposes at least). As long as the voiceovers aren't too absurd...

Holy shit this game kicks ass, it has better mounts and bow/arrow content than Oblivion and the gunfights are omfgsweet

I can understand some german. At least ill be able to read the HUD and main menu. Ill have to turn on German subtitles if they have that option. German is very easy to read

It's okay. Wild west games just can't escape being corny, though. It's cool, but the setting and stuff just doesn't seem to fit FPS. Sneaking past Apaches sucks in my opinion. So does sneaking in general unless we're talking Splinter Cell or Hitman.

Yeah, for real. It dosent look as good as Obliv, but takes 4x longer to load.

The leveles with the stealth guy are far better than the preacher but overall the game isn't too good but it could be nice for a while.
The double revolvers gets annoying , runs out of bullets fast , and it's ages to reload while you are getting filled with shots. and you can't run on foot?wtf?

Tech. wise , while the game looks good , the performance are crap and just unacceptable. I took more 10 mins to load the stage at the 1st time! I lowered the settings and now it "just" about 5 minutes. That's just crap.
And it's not like it's a 1 time thing , every time you start the game and loads a save it take ages. The in-between deaths loadings are of course faster but even that seems to take long in relation to other games.

I hate when you look down and see your body! Say hello to a bunch more of bugs and clipping problems.
