Getting a DVD burner... just one question

do i need any special software to burn DVDs? or will nero do just fine?

I think nero will work (It depends on what version you have) and if not, your burner should come with some software.

OEM writers dont.

And yes, Nero (circa the last 14 months is fine). DVD Decrypter is top notch for burning ISO images too.
