Getting a DX9 error in Episode 1...

About one hour into the game, I can play for about a minute and then an error pops up saying something about Directx9 (it's labeled as an "engine" error), and then it's as if I clicked "exit" on the game.

There are no updates for DX that I see. The only problem I can think of is me running xfire while playing it, but I don't know.

Are you sure you have the June Update of DirectX 9.0c? It fixes a few problems with the EP1 Source Engine.

Positive. I even reinstalled it just to make sure, and I still get the "Internal Engine Error."

Ok, nevermind, apparently the game works fine with xfire off. Darn xfire ruining my games!
