Getting a mic for multiplayer... HELP!!!!!

I am getting a microphone for my computer (it's new and I don't want to use my old one) and I would like some advice on what to get...

It's going to be used primarily for voice talk on multiplayer (CS, etc.) and I would like to know what some other people who do this use?

I'm aiming for something rather inexpensive, my pocket doesn't go too deep.

Omg dude, dont be stupid like me, get a sound card. I built my own comp and forgo a sound card. Everything sounds newb...............the $200 i got for christmas will take care of that tho. This is related to microphone because with out a decient sounds card, no matter how l337 ir mic is, it will sounds shitty fo shizzle word :thumbs:

I bought mine at Wal-Mart for 15 bucks, works fine and no one ever complains about quality or static.

Thats not true, I used my mic on the integrated sound that came with my pc for ages Along with a cable/fast connection, you shouldnt have trouble.

Just saying!! Because, when i first got my mic it was a headset speaker combo. I was like YEAH BABY I R l337 h4x0r!! I get home thinkin yeah man people with bow to my gnarly man voice.
3 hours of tweakin on steam and endless help websites, i figure out, if u have a certain mother board that has to use its integrated sound card ur going to get major feedback. I WAS LIKE OMG MY l337 is DEAD, SHIT!!! *insert my death* Yeah, i was pissed.

dude, plantronics audio .90 good stereo quality.... buy it its cheaper then usb ones which arent noticeably better

^^^ I have plantronics audio .90's too - fantastic bass, decent sound, all around can't fault 'em. Just hook them as directly as you can into the computer, don't use the speaker's headphone jack or some such shite.

Though more likely then not, I'll walk into Best Buy and get the mic thats nearest to the door...

I'm defintely considering the Plantronics one, and Logitech seems good too...
