At microcenter, you can buy an xbox 360 (any version) and get a 100 dollar mail in rebate. While that's good, there also seems to be another way of milking the deal.
If you sign up for a new visa credit card, any purchase that's $400 and over will give you 13,000 visa reward points, which can be instantly redeemable for $100 bucks. Add all of that together, and you got a $200 xbox 360 premium.
I'm still a bit leary about all this, though. I know the $100 mail in rebate is solid, but how do the visa reward points work? Will the $100 be taken away from the $400 purchase, or will it be put in your bank account? Or will it work as a $100 gift card through the credit card you sign up for? Is it even worth all that work?
It's tempting, but I don't know about it. Any suggestions or comments?
