Getting Maps from Opposing Force

Where would I find the maps from the original Opposig Force? I was hoping to use sections of certain maps in the intro of my mod. I have downloaded and installed HL1 and OF.

You can get decompilers, but directly copying parts of their maps into yours would probably be a bad idea in a legal sense. Your best bet is to decompile, look at the designs, and create something that resembles the parts, but differs quite a bit.

Alrighty. Thanks for the links Thing. I've already got GCFScape, but I'll look in to the BSPViewer.

Good call, AL. I hadn't thought of the legal boundaries I would be crossing. Dang legal stuff gets in the way :( . Anyway, I think I had better redo it anyway, as Hammer won't have any of the textures and the Osprey-type plane will have to be an entity that I make in Maya and import.

Oh crap, I just had a thought. I would have to make all new character models too. I would need to remake the Marine grunts that are in the plane with Adrian. Well, do you suppose I could use the Marines from HL1? I don't know if the model will be the right format and whatnot, plus it would look kind of bad to be a HL2 intro and have HL1 models.

I don't know if this idea will be feasable the more I think about it. I am having trouble making a gun that has a pretty simple design. I might need to start thinking of a new intro to my mod. The G-Man bit will stay (I think I can mimic the G-Man well enough), but the flashback scenes (which is why I needed the maps in the first place) might have to be changed.
