Getting vaporized by Supressor beam or Orbs crashes game or computer

I'm not sure why but it only seems to occur in Deathmatch, I think it may be too much stress on my video card but I'm still using the same settings since I got the game and I've only been experiencing it recently after the last updates. After it restarts my resolution is always reconfigured to 800 x 600.

Also it seems Steam is a bigger resource hog than I remembered, when it's on I lag while typing and when I exit, it's still running even 6 minutes after quitting. I have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get it to end it's process.

Hmm... everything seems ok, a stick of ram wouldn't hurt though. Try
defragmenting your hard drive, see if that helps. Also make sure you
got enough free space to run the game.

Okay I validated, I'll see if it helps. Keep in mind it doesn't crash always when I'm vaporized but it'll always lag a little. About 1 out of 3 times a game or computer crash occurs.
