Gfx card + processor

Hey all,

I have a fairly good system at the moment (see below) but my gfx card is just about had it.

I really wanna play Lost Coast and DOD:S with HDR lighting and was wondoring if a new gfx card would work okay with my current processor.

For a new graphics card....like the 7800GT\GTX for example would be wayyyyyyyyyy to much, possibly even a 6800. I would recommend upgrading your processor and your video card so the processor isn't hurting the video car'ds performance..

I see, any preference on what processor to get? i dont have ALOT of money but i could stretch...but not silly prices.

i dont have a budget perse but i need a gfx card, motherboard and processor within the £500...could stretch to £600

Well, for £600 you could get a 7800GTX a decent mobo and a decent AMD processor.

Easily could, jsut quickly found a A64 3500 venice core cpu, Asus a8n-sli deluxe mobo and a 7800gtx for about 610 I think and thats with an expensive mobo, which you could downgrade for one at like 80 to 90 quid.

That would be such a fast system, paired up with 1 to 2gb of fast ram and a decent hd, that would be awsome!
