gfx problems -- radeon 9800pro

Hi, when I set the Half-Life 2 options to high I get weird textures. I've overclocked my card in the past, but now it's not overclocked and when I run HL2 on medium textures (high everything else) I get no problems. It's really kind of weird. Anyone know what could cause this? I'm not sure if it's the overclocking, becasue it only happens on high texture settings.

It may be a problem with the texture files you could try re downloading them.

OR

Looks like your graphics card MAY be overheating so it does that. You can tell because it does that in other games if the graphics card is taking too much and always fromt he fact that you have 19 FPS. Thats weird because i have a Radeon 9800 Pro and it has a fan.

Could it be because I'm only at 4x AGP? (It's all my motherboard will support).

4x is probably hurting you, but i doubt thats the reason. Try reinstalling drivers, Use drivercleaner to do that, and make sure to get the newest 1.12 catalyst drivers from www.ati.com
