Just got this, and started playing today. Made it to the second mission with the giant stay puft man.

My first impressions aren't that good. I really wanted to like this game, but so far I just can't seem to get into it. The combination of aquard/stiff controls, annoying over the shoulder camera angle and bad performance made this feel like a chore instead of an enjoyable singleplayer experience.

To those of you that have also played this game, what are your thoughts?

GHOSTBUSTERS IS GAME OF THE YEAR

Holy shit it's like I'm actually busting ghosts holy shit I've got a PKE meter and I'm reading Tobin's Spirit Guide and capturing ghost evidence and I LOOKED AT THE TRAP RAY and I fought the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man and almost roasted in the belly of a sloar and there was a bit of total protonic reversal and did you guys try this pole you gotta try this pole and oh man the slime gun is like the coolest thing ever seriously and it kinda sucks that you never get to drive the car but of course they wouldn't let the rookie drive and it's so awesome going to the firehouse and checking out all the artifacts and listening to the messages on the answering machine and talking to Vigo who for some reason is back in the picture after Ghostbusters 2 and there was totally evidence for Ghostbusters Extreme in the basement of the firehouse and THE LIBRARY LEVEL IS AWESOME oh man this game is like the best thing ever and if you don't like Ghostbusters there might be something wrong with you

The impression that I got from the demo was that it would be really repetitive.

That said, it's ****ing GHOSTBUSTERS. I'm getting it when the price drops to being reasonable.

Disclaimer: I've been playing video games since I was five. I'm 24 now.

Either this game is awfully bugged to me or I suck totally at videogames, because the part where you're supposed to kill walking candles, I died all the time, I was only able to get past that part on easy. Also, my comrades died all the time when fighting on the second level (the slamdunk part).

I'm Disappointed with The Wii version of the game.

Its cartooney.

it looks good on the XBOX360 though

**** that, I am getting it right now... Oh wait! I CAN'T! THEY DON'T SELL IT ON STEAM ON MY COUNTRY.

PC version is buggy as ****, but despite that it's still a ****ing brilliant game.

Well I have the PC version duh.

Also, Mr. Venkman why do you keep falling down like a little bitch so I have to constantly rescue your sorry ass?

To those who have multi-core processors make sure you set the affinity to 1 when playing Ghostbusters. I was having awful performance till i was told it was due to having a Quad and setting it to use one core fixed my performance issues. Overall i loved it. The gameplay was repetitive, but i still loved the charm of it. It's one of the best movie to games adaptations yet.

Try setting it's priority to low first. I know this defines logic as the Anti-virus and everything else will have higher CPU priority, but apparently this is a better fix as it will continue using both cores.

-Run the game
-Alt-tab out of it
-Run task manager (ctrl-alt-del)
-Set the game's executable priority to low by right clicking on "ghost_w32.exe" under the Processes tab.

Don't listen to him, it will cause ghosts to come out of your computer screen and eat your family!
