I usually make these on every forum I'm on as its intresting to know what gigs your attending anytime soon.

So... any?

I got Motorhead at Birmingham Academy on Nov 10th.
Dragonforce at Wulfrum Hall, Wolverhampton on September 13th.

The gig that has annoyed me is that Dream Theater, who originally were going to just play a two night set in London, have announced ONE MORE date... coinceidently in my hometown, Wolverhampton. Now, don't get me wrong, thats really good news... well, it would be, If I wasn't on BASTARD ****ING HOLIDAY. I mean, I knew I was going to miss the London date because of holiday, and that wasn't so bad, but now they are playing a date so close to my bloody house, and I'm going to miss it.

*So annoyed*

But yeah, anyone got any good gigs/festivals coming up, then?

i shall be goin to Trivium in September (23rd). Not really any gigs im interested in (stupid bands wont come to Ireland). Did have a couple of gigs over Summer so i was happy enough.

Rammstein on Monday down the CIA.
Couple of small gigs by my mate's bandsm at Barfly.
Nothing else on the cards yet

I was thinking of going to see Ramnstein in Birmingham, um, tomorrow I think. Or Friday, I don't know. I've heard they are really good live, plus I don't mind them. But, alas, money...

I'm going to Summer Sundae festival in a months time, friday and saturday. I get to see Lemon Jelly, British Sea Power, Idlewild, Trashcan Sinatras and loads of other fab bands I've always wanted to see... In 2 days! WRYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

I'm going to the Manchester Ritz in September to see a band called Elbow. Hopefully I'll be getting tickets for Leeds Festival (but I aint paying £200 for a ticket). I'm also going to see The Stereophonics and Embrace towards the end of the year.

So far this year I've seen Oasis, Travis, and Coldplay.

So far this year I've seen:

Megadeth
The Haunted
Testament
Download 2005 (Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Shadows Fall)

But it was worth it! What a goddamn SHOW it was! YAARR!! damn, flame throwers rock! >_< Im all excited and drunk and dont know if i make any sense but wth.. :p

September sometime, London Camden Koko-

Harvest Festival:

Nile, Hate Eternal, Behemoth, Incantation etc etc a bunch of others....honestly, this will rule awesomely just because of the first few bands I listed. If you're a metaller, be there or be foolish.

I'm going to the Leeds festival. I've only got a day ticket for the Friday though.

Yeah, I saw that in Terrorizer the other day. Looks alright. Are you going to Damnation Festival?

Hmm, maybe, if there's a London date, but even if there was I'm not a massive fan of Entombed or Gorerotted, so I dunno.

I'm going to go see the Arcade Fire for the second time on September 21st. They put on such an amazing show.

I might go see Built to Spill this coming weekend. They're a band that I really like, but just havn't got around to seeing.

I'm still trying to call in and win tickets to the sold out Modest Mouse show up in Seattle. I've already seen them once...not nearly enough.

in august im planning on seeing coldplay. september ill be seeing black rebel motorcycle club and oasis. october im going to see the decemberists.

I just made a thread about it not long ago (http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=88050), but I'll be at Murdered City Music Festival from August 17th-21st
I'm also going to Wavelength tonight to see Vulcan Dub Squad. Wavelength is a weekly music show showcasing newer bands from around Canada, I generally go every sunday, it's at Sneaky Dee's for anyone in Toronto who's interested

Amazing bands man
I miss seeing Arcade Fire at small venues, the first time I saw them was like two and a half years ago at The Ford Plant in Brantford, Ontario at like 3 in the afternoon. It cost $5 and there were like ten people there. I hate havign to pay a lot to see them at shitty venues now. But so is life

im hopfully going to see children of bodom and lamb of god in vancouver in octobter(i think)

I just remembered but im seeing jack johnson this wednesday. Its going to be sweet.

Fair enough. I doubt on a London date, unless the turn out becomes pretty good and the team decide to make it mobile. But I may come along to the Harvest fest. The more festivals, the better. I'm a little down that Wacken starts this week so I'm gonna make up for it somehow.

Awesome man! I wish I could say I watched them before they released an LP. Back in the day, was their live show as intense as it is now? I saw them at the gorge a couple months back, and the red haired guy was absolutely insane. He hit the tamborines so hard that metal shrapnel flew into the crowd. He was playing drums on his bandmates, and even climbed the scaffolding and "played" the drum beat on it. The other percussion player was rediculous, too. At one point, he destroyed 2 stand cymbals by swinging them into each other, and then collapsed on the ground in exhaustion...only to get up slowly after missing like 4 cues and then just hit the cymbal with his fist, and collapsed again. Haha, there's nothing like a band that gives their all in a performance.

Oh yeah, my friend called me today about going and seeing the Hot Hot Heat. Might as well add that to the list. Not sure what kinda show they put on, but oh well, their music is decent enough.

I think that first time I saw them tops any other time I saw them. It was so intense and overwhelmingly beautiful. They played with Wolf Parade, another AMAZING band, for one song. The red haired guy was playing a steal drum like a madman most of the time, I was pretty much in awe the whole set. It ended with In The Back Seat, but it was pretty drastically different than what it became on their full length. It was a lot longer, and started out ridiculously slow and finished with an amazing choir-like harmony, with some of the band kneeling and the others standing behind them all with their mouths open wide to the roof just singing "Ahhhhh, ahhhhh" in tune with the music. I will honestly never forget that show

MORE CONCERT MADNESS!!! Today I found out that 2 of my favorite Indy acts are headed to Seattle! I'm going to scoop up tickets for the Fiery Furnaces (awesome group, hope they put on a good show, I'm expecting sweetness and nothing else) and then Sufjan Stevens, which should be incredible live.

So much music. I can't wait.

So far this year I've been to:
The Isle of wight festivle (Loads of great bands; travis, Roxy music, Ray davies, razorlight, faithless the list goes on)
Tolpuddle Martys Festivles (Cos' its the next village along from me and billy bragg plays there every year)

Up and coming gigs:
Paul Wellar
Hard-Fi

Slow year for me been fairly busy.
