Girlfriends Against Video Games

I would never date anyone unwilling to play smash brothers with me.
 
We need someone to get us off the games and who better than our better half?

I havn't given this enough thought yet to come up with any real opinions or possible solutions so I will just keep my mouth shut for now. I just hope this thread doesn't die because everyone else feels the same way. :O

She likes playing it. You can see it on her face... it's just her way of making her husband feel better and to have fun.
In other words... the 2 subjects used in that is BS.

I don't think they are even playing any games in that picture, I think it's just from an interview. Besides, it's common for reporters to have two different stories working at the same time, it is a good technique to help put some things from each into perspective.
 
Solution : By your girlfriend a PC and install CS:S and CoD.

I play games. My girlfriend doesn't.
BUT! I'm allowed to :D She doesn't mind. Just says "boys and their toys" I rarely play when shes online though. My girlfriend > video games.
 
Shit, if games are more important than your girlfriend you've got prioritizing problems anyway.

I've never really had a problem with it... since I'd always choose to go out somewhere than to stay at home and play games.

I've had a girl over that had a bit of fun with my controller :naughty:

I had one girlfriend that we played MK2 together on SNES (long time ago). She actually wasn't bad she beat me a couple times. Boy she got pissed at me when I continually beat her, so maybe playing games aren't the best way to improve a relation

I've also had a girlfriend that we always play online RPG's together but thats only becuase she was a long distance girlfriend. IF she lived closer to me, I would rather play in the same room together

My girlfriend calls me "silly boy", and that's about it. Go ahead, YOU try explaining to her Natural Selection.
 
I think the girls that are with this should be trying to do something with themselves. If they are important enough to a guy that he would rather play video games than be with them then they should try to fix that instead of whine. At least they aren't fat and crying about it over a gallon of ice cream.

Wow some of the examples they gave in the article are too extreme though. That one guy that was skipping classes and playing all day every day did have a problem, most people who play games don't do that.

simple solution ...she has her interests, you have yours ...no video games? no TLC a baby story or decorating/home improvement/reality/women friendly shows

I'm sure most of us wouldnt like girlfriends that all they ever talked about was clothes or decorating or whatever

everything in moderation ...I wait till the wife goes to bed :E

lmfao, so true. I had a girlfriend who didn't play games. She would get so pissed. Then she would get pissed if I looked at pr0n...*She wasn't giving me any, so I needed SOMETHING..pssh*...good thing we aren't dating anymore..

/me opens up CSS and runs around and stares at a spray gif of pr0n.
 
It's the extremes... really.

Casual gamer + non-gamer = fine.
