From a lipstick add. Her lips were even bigger on the picture. This took about 10 minutes since I was to lazy to do any intense shading.

Wow, I like it. Its looks pretty good. Only thing wrong, is that the shading could be just a little bit better imo.

You've picked up your act. Apart from the obvious, it's no masterpiece I have only one real problem apart from that i think it's great. The problem is the nose, it needs to be longer that aside it's good.

Pretty good structure on most of the face.
... and, ummm... creative title for the thread...

Holy shit, fastest replies in history. And yeah, the nose is a little off :). And the shading sucks :).

I think the nose looks fine. But the shading looks a bit sloppy. Try going over it again and try to make the shading blend a bit more.

I never go back to a drawing, I always end up ruining it.

Lol... then trace over it and then use that one. Just a suggestion though. You dont have to if you dont want to.

You don't need to shade every piece of a drawing, I think it looks good how it is. Doing more to it would over work it...

Especially because its just shading around the eyes mostly, it really draws it out for me. Heh, in films they used to put lighting on the eyes of the stars to make them look more beautiful. I think this is having a similar effect.

Lips are a bitch to draw properly without them looking....weird (for lack of a better word)

meeeh he says lips are hard to draw without them looking weird!! not that those lips are weird, those lips are the completly correct shape i think,

i have found that geeting lips to look realistic is rather hard when you actually work them!

But generally either the bottom lip is bigger then the top, or both lips are the same.

Not true, as a matter of fact, most lipstick models have bigger upper lips and like this one, are shot from a lower angle in order to enlarge the upper lip.

Thanks :). But I do have problem with shading a lot of the time. If anyone has any tips to offer I'd gladly accept them.

Thanks :). Yeah, lips are hard to draw because you really have to conceptualize the "3Dness" in your head.
