Im not planning to buy halo2 whats so ever and I really dont like it so can you guys give me a bunch of spoilers just so I can see what is in the game. Especially give me the ending cause I want to hear how bad it really was.

Thanks

The ending:
You end up stopping Halo from being completely activated, but since it had begun activation...all the other rings became ready for remote detonation from the "Ark". Master Chief hops a Forerunner ship as a stow-away that goes to Earth with the largest Covenant armada ever seen. As the ship reaches Earth, the humans detect the Forerunner ship as something they haven't seen and they detect MC on board.

Admiral (paraphrased): Do you mind telling me what you're doing on that ship MC?

MC: Finishing this fight, sir.

*Roll Credits*

It looks like Halo 3 will be a lot more about Earth and this "Ark" place.

i heard Master Chief takes of his helmet in the end and looks like a clown or something...

God, that is an awful ending. I can really see what the reviews mean about it being disappointing.

thnks for the ending amish. it sounds pretty plain for an ending.....couldnt they think of a more orignal ending? meh oh well

this is the entire game

A gold elite is on trial infront of the prophets because of the destruction of Halo thanks to Master Chief. They call him a heretic for allowing a human to step on the sacred ring that was Halo and send him off to be punished.

Meanwhile Master Chief is being rewarded for saving earth by destroying Halo, and then the covenant attack Earth. But the thing is, the covenant didn't know Earth was humanity's main planet so they only send a small fleet.

The covenant start attacking earth and they send this Battle Tank thing (Looks like a giant bug, kinda like the strider, except more like a stick insect walking on all of its legs) and surely enough MC takes it out. Then the MC, Sarge and Miranda Keyes (Daughter of Captain Keyes) tag along behind the back of a covenant warship as it enters a slipstream (wormhole thingy) and they get teleported to another Halo. And consequently the city that you were trying so hard to save from the Battle Tank is detroyed in a massive explosion.

Meanwhile it cuts back to that tortured gold elite from the start of the game, now scared from branding and what not. The Brutes (gorilla guys) take him to the Prophets who offer him a chance to reclaim his dignity and respect by agreeing to be an Arbiter. He agree's, and after that they tell him that his mission is a suicide mission and thats how all the other Arbiters regained their respect and dignity, through death in the battlefield.

Then you play as the Arbiter and you have to capture a Heretic Leader on this gas giant world. The flood have taken over the facility and the Heretic Leader has 343 Guilty Spark (who somehow survived the explosion of Halo) and knows "the truth" about Halo and the Halo rings. You kill the Heretic Leader, 343 Guilty Spark gets captured by the Brute Leader and then it goes back to Master Chief.

Master Chief is on a new Halo, trying to capture the Prophet of Regret, it turns out he started the invasion of Earth accidently and is apoligising to the other Prophets by discovering Halo's "truth". Anyway, you kill him, the Covenant attack the ring and destroy the platform MC is on and he falls into ocean below him and then these tentacle things drag him to the bottom of the sea.

Then you play as the Arbiter again (gold elite dude) and you have to go back to the library (eek ) and retrieve the Index so you can activate the Halo's. You fight lotsa flood (again) and you find the index and a cutscene plays where the Arbiter is knocked into a never-ending hole by the brute leader "Tatarus".

Then everything just goes all "Matrix Reloaded" and it ****s up completely.

It cuts to the Master Chief and he wakes up infront of this huge Venus Fly-trap thing with all these tentacles and shit and he's saying something about "I'm your past sins" and all this crap. then the Arbiter comes along, wrapped up in tentacles as well and the Flytrap thing says it doesnt want Halo activated and wants to stop the Covenant from activating it. And somehow he teleports both MC and the Arbiter to different places. MC goes to the Covenant space city(kinda looks like the death star in a way) not far from the Halo ring and the Arbiter goes to the ring to stop Tatarus from activating it.

anyway, MC chases after the Prophet of Truth (Head honcho) and the flood crash onto the convenant place (somehow they pilot a ship) and start messing up the place. The Brutes take over from the elites and a war between the Elites and Brutes break out (only ingame though, no cutscene ). Cortana has to stay behind to hack into the covenant mainframe so MC can board the Prophet's ship. Which he does, just as the ship takes off.

The Arbiter meets up with Sarge (whose now piloting a massive Battle Tank from earlier) and they team up so the Arbiter can enter the Control Room (different control room from the first game, looks like the Eiffel Tower ontop of the Epcot Center as DisneyWorld). He entersthe control and Tatarus has 343 Guilty Spark and is forcing Miranda Keyes to insert the Index (I forgot to mention, she and Sarge got captured earlier when the Arbiter finds the Index, and somehow Sarge escapes, they don't explain alot in this game). You fight him and kill him and then 343 Guilty Spark explains that the Halo were created by the Forerunners who were wiped out by the Flood, and all of the halo's are on standby now and can be activated by "The Arc" and then the Arbiter steps forward and asks "When is the Arc?"

then it cuts back to Earth fighting the entire covenant fleet and the Prophet of Truth arrives in his massive ship and Master Chief is on it. the Admiral of the Earth fleet says blast the ship and then MC pipes up and says "This is Spartan 1". the Admiral asks if he's on that ship, he says yes, Admiral says what are you doing here, Master Chief says "Finishing what i started sir"

and then the game ends.

There's a little scene after the credits that has Cortana on the covenant city that is now taken over completely by flood, and she is on one of those holograph things like she always is, and then that freakin Flytrap thing comes out of this giant hole and says "I have questions and i need the answers to them". she says "Ok, shoot"

There you go

Sparta thnks for the whole story on it. From reading it the story doesnt seem so great but maybe if I played it, it would be better. Anyways can I ask
how much of the game do you play as the elite or watever it is?

Personal theory: The Forerunner ship that Truth and the Master Chief are on is the Ark.

MC is a woman?

You might be mistaken from the virtual girl thing thats in his helmet. Dont quite know all about it but its some chick talking to MC.

Nah, I bet Earth is the ark.

The Covenant are probably going to find out from the arbiter that Earth is it half way through their campaign, as the flood approach. The covies and humans band together to fight off the flood for as long as they can. Cortana somehow rides back with the Flood, and tells MC and the Arbiter what to do. With some sort of giant TV remote (nah, some kind of remote anyhoo) he activates all the halos, which have a radius that kinda excludes Earth. A bit like a tiny weeny island in the Pacific.

Then, life starts over again, only the war is over.

Kangy I think you should wrap soilers around what you just said so people dnt get mad.

I hear that someone hav finished the leak and asy that MC is a woman

If that is true then halo is a stupid game. lol it would be so stupid

Alrighty.

Sorry I didn't, I assumed nobody would care because you're asking for spoilers. I can't edit it now, but if a mod would like to wrap it up like a bundle of love, I'll be happy :D

meh i didnt mean it would suck but it would just be stupid the MC is a girl and u know it would be. I mean if Gordon was a girl would u find that wierd? I think you would.

Im wondering if humans were actually the forerunners because they are the only ones who can insert the index and the only ones who can stop halo

theory
oh in the third game its probably humans, elites, hunters, and grunts vs brutes, jackals, drones, prophets and then since high charity has be consumed by the flood. the flood leader will question cortana on the location of earth so he can consume it as well.

Master Chief has a pretty burly voice for a woman.

Especially at the end of Halo when he's talking
and in the Halo 2 commercial when he says "I need a weapon"

YOU ALL HAVE IT WRONG!!!

he says "Sir, finishing this fight." not finishing what i started or that crap!

might post a more in depth spoiler later

I didn't find the ending bad. It was just a cliffhanger. If you expected all the questions to be tied up at the end of the game then yes, it must have sucked for you. However I new about the cliffhanger ending before I even bought the game so I was prepared.

Anyway, you people should prepare yourselves. There's gonna be a Half-Life 3 you know? So I wouldn't doubt for a minute Valve did something similar with HL2. Seems the norm in the industry today, especially for games that make the $$$.

isnt it true that halos, when activated, dont even kill the flood? They kill humans and covenant, the floods food. So if earth was safe from the halos then there would still be no reason to think you are safe if the flood knew where earth was. The halos would kill everything around earth besides the flood, and then the flood would simply kill everything on earth.

What sucks is that Halo 3 may not be out for another 6 years, cuz it isn't gonna be their next project.

I hated the ending. You don't even expect it. There is absolutely no resolution. Also, they sold the game by saying there are 15 levels. They count the opening cinematic as a level (bastards.)

The Halos kill everything above the single celled level...human, covenant, and flood.
I'm also fairly confident that the Earth is the Ark, which also explains why the Covenant came there in the beginning of the game. They didn't even know humans were ON the planet, much less that it was our home.
