I'm not religious in any way, but I'm giving up swearing for lent, and considering that two of my most used words begin with F and C, it's going to be hard :)

Already slipped up 4 times today, but I hope to improve ;)

How about you lot?

Hmm, nothing...should i or shouldn't i...

My friend is also giving up swearing, and I have 5 bucks on the line saying he can't do it.

I expect to collect my money by the week's end :D

for...lent?

For no reason?

I do it when I'm with people that get offended *christians*

You Brits seem to have a real issue with swearing, but sometimes it feels like it's just a huge part of your culture.

Do you guys get in trouble for swearing in the early days of school and such like we do here in North America or is it just not a big deal?

Not to say we don't swear too, quite the opposite. I just seem to notice it's more common amongst the British.

I'm giving up a social life for lent, as I am swarmed with A2 coursework. Oh the joy.

I gave up swearing too and it seems to work so far.

You f***ing c***sucker I hope you f***ing burn in hell.

I'm only using swear words when I'm giving speeches and want to get the point across in an angry/serious manner. Using swear words can be a really important and powerful weapon when giving speeches.

3 of my friends are giving up masturbation. Which seems a bit silly.

I'm giving up not masturbating. From midnight tonight it's 960 hours of constant pumping.

i want at least 200 hours of that upped on youtube.

I'm thinking of giving up video games. I just have to make sure nothing super-awesome-kickass is coming out by April 8th.

Well my WoW account expired on the 15th and I haven't renewed it yet.

Does that count for anything?

I'm giving up corparate fast food. It's the best way I can find to give up something for lent to please my religious parents, get self-satisifed because of its parallels to my political beliefs, and at least get some ****in' food sometimes.

I wanted to give up downloading and watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force but alas I cannot.

Why the hell would I give up something I like?

I gave up Catholicism for lent a good six or seven years ago, and haven't looked back :p

Get a swear jar and put the proceeds towards getting Gabe Newell pizza!

Seriously though... uhh... lent?

I'm taking up going to the gym and eating health every day, as well as kicking ass in school. I'm giving up choking the one eyed monster and I'm not gonna spend so much time on the computer.
