I made my own glass texture and i want it to shatter. I dont mean that "real shattering" i just want the bullet holes to look "shatters" like other glass textures in HL2... How is it possible?

Well there's a tutorial on it on interlopers.net if I'm not mistaken.

It's a bigger process than just a regular glass (seethrough) texture, but it shouldn't be a problem.

theres an entity for it i think if u go to map then title entity its in there i belive if its not its in there some where just look through them

I'm going to take a wild guess, based on Valve's VMTs, that you need one VMT for the normal glass and another for the shatter glass; the former should call on the latter with a "$crackmaterial" declaration, and the latter should use the "ShatteredGlass" shader.

No, no, no... I _DONT_ want the glass to break up i want the bullet holes look like cracks...

i think theres a line you add to your vmt that specifies the material type, which then specifies what an impact looks like on your glass, sorry that i dont know which it is...

I think it's only a decal so if you put the line: "$surfaceprop" "glass" in the vmt it should apply the cracked glass decal on the window when you shot it, it's pure theory but...
